A New Change- A New Me

Hi guys. I have not been blogging for quite some time. Just a recap on what happened for the first half of my life in 2010.
After I came back from Melbourne, I am beginning to feel suffocated with my new job at that time. Being a lecturer in Masterskill is not the standard of my expectation. Anyway, it is not nice to talk bad about other organization here. Bottom line: Not for me. Hence, I have been praying and God open ways for me. Guess what, back into the banking field. After all I have been trying so hard to break away from banking and now back to banking? Everyone thinks that I am out of my mind. Finally I gave it a try. Just like dear said, "How bad could it be when things are worse in Masterskill?".

Well, here I am in HSBC for almost 5 months as an Accounts Manager for commercial banking. To my surprise, everything were so different here. We do not have meetings/training in classroom method. Instead, we use webminar,no secretary etc. Most importantly is the relationship and closeness between managers and staffs. Well, of course workload is much heavier. Imagine I have to meet sales target, conduct monthly review, processing of loan, recover excess of my portfolio, selling investments, opening of current account...name it and I am doing it! Not an easy job.

I was struggling in the first three months. Things doesn't seem to look good. I feel like I am trapped into a dark room without any door to escape. I have been in despair and depressed. I cries, asking God to why He allowed these things to happen in my life. All complains, anger and frustration are channeled to dear. Arguments were triggered. I just want to take this opportunities to thank Him for his gentleness and patience with me.

Here I am, 3 months of hardship and finally I can see the rewards in the 4th month. Cases are being referred to me and most importantly, I am adapting to the HSBC culture. Things are beginning to look easier to me as I have went through the rough and patchy road.

Now I am thanking God here for He wants me to grow out of my comfort zone and be competitive. He wants me to grow up and equip myself with knowledge.

Below are some pictures of the farewell of Regional North Director, Jeff. He will be transferred to Hong Kong for a promotion. Hardly know him well as he left about 2 weeks after I joined HSBC.

~Jeremy Loh~

A blog specially dedicated to the love of my life....

I am the person who easily gets agitated if things do not turn up to be the way I want it to be...this only leads me to give in to situation and to quit...Slowly I believe that I am a quitter...How wrong was I...

Never ever be a quitter instead be a fighter...fight for what you think is right...just like how Jesus fights for our salvation...Jesus has never quit but He gave it all for us...even His life...

As for us...who has experienced Christ, we should be the light and salt for Christ. Let's allow God to work in our life..to make us fall at times...to make us feel the pain, the anger, the humiliation. It doesn't matter as long as we have God because He has planned all this for us...to taste the sweetness of all hardship

God's victory is for those who dwell in the Lord and believe that a right mind and a right attitude is the way of happiness. Walk in a manner worthy of Him...He will not fail you =)

The One is....Jeremy Loh, my love

Gong Xi Fa Chai!!

Gong Xi Fa Chai!! Chinese New Year is about to end in few more days.

Time really flies. This year's Chinese New Year was pretty bored for me. Guess I am getting older as I am not as excited as I used to be when I was a kid. Maybe the main reason was instead of getting many angpow...I have to start giving angpow! Okok don't get me wrong. Not that reason!...I am not married yet.

As you grow up and started working...it is time to give your parents and grandparents angpow. That's all about it!

Most of my friends have are back but somehow the feeling of togetherness is quite different. Could it be that I seldom hang out with them which I used to? We are still buddies but somehow our perspective of focus are a bit different. Anyway, I am glad to hang out and chat with them though.

Just like last year, I followed Jeremy to Taiping on the 2nd day instead of 3rd day. I would say Taiping was not as crowded ad last year's celebration but thanked God for the weather there. Much much better than Ipoh. When I was in Ipoh...I was scorched by the hot sun. Imagine that on the first day of CNY, the temperature was 45 degree Celcius. Freaking hot!! At least Taiping rained on Wednesday night.

I left on early Thursday morning and head straight to work. I do had a great time with Dear's friends as well.

I am looking for a prosperous new year in new career environment. May teh presence of God always be with me to guide and lead me..God is good all the time...and all the time God is good...

Till then!

PS. Some of you might wonder why am I posting it two weeks after cny...the fact was I typed way earlier. Unfortunately I was having problem publishing...therefore....now only I'm uploading it!

God Is Really Testing My Patience

Oh dear....I have been waiting and waiting...

Ever been in a situation whereby you are expecting something and yet you cannot get hold of it? So near yet so far...

It really takes a lot of patience. I will just continue praying as I believe it is just a matter of time...let it be in God's hand.

Glory to you God. Amen!

My heart leaps for joy!

Dear friends,

I am so so happy since yesterday! God answered my prayer!
Ever been in a state that all you want to do is to escape? The feeling of dying to leave? Yeah, that was exactly what I was feeling for the last three months.

I continue to pray and God really send someone to help me. Finally I can have something to look forward for my future. It is time I move on.

I just want to advise for those who are in despair, do not give up but continue to trust in the Lord for God is an ever faithful God. We mat be faithless but He will remain faithful.

Thank you Lord once again! Glory to You Father! Amen!

Melbourne...and the day goes...

Day 9

As days were passing by...we realized that we were about to return to Malaysia soon...We

were so reluctant...To be honest...I feel in love with Melbourne....

Anyway...we decided to fully maximize our trip for the last few days...therefore at...

10.00 am - We went to St. Kilda Beach and pier

Oh goodness....we walked for almost 2 hours before reaching the beach. We actually

boarded a wrong tram...we were walking on foot....I was tired and my legs gave

way.. Not a very nice morning to start off with....but God is good....He really made

the best out of nothing!!

If not because we boarded a wrong tram, we would not be able to enjoy the

surrounding scenery and fresh air.

Can you see the pelican??

At St. Kilda

10.45 am - We had our breakfast beside the beach. We ordered one meal and we shared.

That was really nice as we were enjoying the our food along came the sound of the waves and the

scenery of the beach ....The weather on that day was pretty hot and yet it did not stopped us

from enjoying ourself!

A cup of hot Cappucino

Dear likes this Ham & Bacon croissant...

me too!!!

Welcome to St. Kilda pier

Bonjour...

On the way to Luna Park

Luna Park...it was closed on weekdays

We headed back to the city.

1.30 pm - We had our lunch at McDonalds. Dear ordered Mighty Angus beef burger as suggested

by Marshal. According to him..Angus beef is a premier beef in Australia..We wouldn't wanna

miss it! On the other hand, I ordered an apple pie and ice-cream.

The meat was so juicy and tender....

2.00 pm - Ladies and gentlemen...time to hit the malls!!

I have been waiting to go to the Bourke Street. Heard that there were shops and

malls along the street! We went to Bourke Street Mall , GPO and Block Arcade.

Oh just for your information, GPO stands for General Post Office. The building used

to be a post office and they refurbished it to a mall. I hardly buy anything there as it

was pretty expensive!

Block Arcade

Bourke Street

4.00 pm - We headed back to Southern Cross Station. While waiting for Marshal to finish work,

we went for some snacks at the food court. Ok...it was BAD! The sushi tasted so

awful...We made a conclusion that Japanese food in Australia...is bot good at all!

We call it a day!

After dinner, we played with the kids...Victoria and Ethan!! Miss the two kiddos so much!!!!

Day 10

Today was our final day to tour around!! Wanna know more about our last day's itenary? Bet

you want to know more...so hang on here...

9.40 am - We boarded a V line train to Sovereign Hill, Ballarat. It is located quite far from the

city. I slept the whole journey. It was a gold mining area on the 16th century. Do check out the

photos!!

while waiting for the bus to Sovereign Hill

We were looking for gold!!

1.30 pm - We had a fantastic lunch along the "street".

2.30 pm - We walked across to the Gold Museum. The entrance was free of charge as we have

bought the V line train ticket.

We were beginning to feel sad as we have already miss Australia even before we left!!
