~A New eXperIeNCe~

I have been MIA for quite some time. A lot of things has happened in my life for the past one month I would say. I have changed my job and bought a new car just to name a few.

Things have been quite tough for me in the beginning. Imagine someone from a banking industry changed to education!Wow...everyone was shocked...and that includes myself! When I think back, I felt the same thing too when I first started working in a bank after I graduated. Life is really full of mystery and unexpected God's will.

Although I was challenged emotionally...I walk in the ways of the Lord. It was windy and patchy at the beginning of my new path. I really wanted to take this opportunity to thank my boyfriend and sponsor for guiding me and helping me through the very difficult moment. I chose to walk in courage, faith and love. It has always been these three factors that motivates me all along...even until now. I want to be the one to take the path and let my life be a living testimony to all.

Apart from that, I just bought a new car recently. So you guys can imagine that life has been very different for me.

After all...I am learning to trust in Him. Btw, I will be leaving to Melbourne on the 14th Nov to 26th Nov. So I will update my journal over here once I am back.

Till then.

God bless.

~Paintball Challenge~

Bonjour!!

Last weekend was a long holiday...So I went to Gopeng together with my friends from young adult cell to "kill" each other!!

Hehe...What I am trying to say here is that we went to Sungai Jahang in Gopeng for a Paintball game.

On our way to Sungai Jahang, Gopeng

Heys, that was my first time ever playing paintball!! I was excited and kinda nervous at the same time!! I always heard feedback from people that it is real painful...and you will ended up with bruises/blue-black mark on the body...So why do I still insist to go...as usual....wanna have fun

The journey from Simpang Pulai to Gopeng took us bout 20 minutes. I always thought Gopeng is very far but I was definely wrong!! But the journey to the paintball zone is quite secluded. After all it was a game in a real jungle!! Wow...just by reminiscing makes me excited once again!!

Getting equipped for battle!! The jacket stinks!!

My Team

Ready to ice opponent

There were about 20 of us. We had so much fun. Two games with 100 pallets for each...each team will have the chance to be Defender and Attacker! What's your final quest?? If you wanna know....then come and join us...

Let's get dirrty and adventurous guys!! Do not be surprised if you are bitten by weird and giant bugs! Hehe...there I go again...exagerating.

Look at the pallets left after my first round

Aiming at the helmet..

This was quite heavy

Quickly run...I might accidentally pulled the trigger!!

~RUnNing FOr reAL~

Hello my friends!!

As some of you might know that I joined the Ipoh International Run 2009. This was the second time I took part so far! The first time was when I was 18. I still remember it was a sort-of "farewell" for me as I was about to leave Malaysia. In fact it was a decision to quit my studies. Anyway it was a long story! =)

Well, on the 4th July 2009, I woke up as early as 4.45am just to prepare myself. Guess what...it was raining cats and dogs! Oh no....How to run?? Dear and I persevered and we went ahead. We picked up two youth before heading directly to stadium. We reached there about 615am and it was still raining.

We just prayed that the rain will stop. We waited in the car for about 20 minutes. Finally we had no choice but to run down as the reporting time was until 6.45am. I was thinking...."rain..rain...go away...come again some other day..."

All the competitors waited until 7am and they started to make noise. We were 15 minutes behind the proposed flag-off time. I saw a lot of professional runners. They were no other than the Blacks...dear saw a national walker and iron man...just to name a few

Dear and I were shocked when we found out that there were about 2000++ participants for men open's category while 600++ for women open's category! Our chances to wince were shattered. To be honest, I never expect myself to win anything...a cert also seems almost impossible to me! Me and dear were supporting each other...Come on....JUST DO IT!!

Even the rain was heavy, that did not stopped all the participants to run...We ran...ran..and ran. Within 5 minutes, dear was out of my sight. He can run =) Aiks, that doesn't mean I can't! =P

I ran as long as my feet can carry me...Guess what...God is so good... He gave me strength and the fighting spirit...Check it out...I ran 10 km without even stopping for a second! Forget the water they provided along the route...The Lord asked me to keep moving forward! I obeyed...and I completed the run within 80 minutes. I took about an hour plus. I was at the 81 position! I was so shocked and happy at the same time. Darling was so proud of me.

However, dear was not that fortunate. He completed the run within 50 minutes and yet he did not receive anything. The competition was so stiff with all the male runners. He was competing with 2000++ runners.

I received a certificate and a medal. I can smell the sweetness of victory. It was not that I was trying to prove that I was great..but deep down I did it with because of God...

We then went back to clean-up before heading to church for the second service.

It was fun and we enjoyed it so much!!

As for now....see you guys!!

~Ipoh Starwalk 2009~

Can't help but to taste cereal + milk...

Look at the participants!!

Me at the Starting Point

Me fiddling with my running tag

Hello guys....It has been a long time since I last scribble something here...I always disappear and reappear?? lol Anyway, a lot has happened for the past few months...this time I just wanna share my experience in Starwalk 2009.

Star walk is an event organized yearly by The Star paper. As for this year, it was in conjunction with Ipoh city's 21st Anniversary Celebration. This was my second year of 'starwalking". =)

I joined last year with J and I make it a point to join every year since. Starwalk is a 10km walk around Ipoh city.
I woke up as early as 5.15am to get myself prepared and i reached Stadium at 6.30am. The crowd was there even before we stepped in the reporting center. It was kind of tiring while walking for this distance but I make it a point to complete it...at least within the time me n j set up for me. A 10km walk within 60 mins? Hell...we thought we can do it...Guess what...we only managed to walk 5 km within an hour. We were only halfway! No way...not giving up....we just kept walking. As for your information, the cut-off time was 100 mins...we were trying to be hero!!hehe

Alas....I managed to complete it. I took 1 hour 33 minutes and 43 seconds. Kinda of bad right? But I really tried my best. Guess what, for my category (Women Open), I finished at the 16th place. I was given a tag. I was a bit curious and eventually I found out that the card will entitled me to a medal if I can get into top 15. And that means....I have to hope that there will be people disqualified so I can get a price??!!

Me and J waited for an hour and yet the result has yet to be finalised.
We finally gave up as we were both tired, hungry, and were rushing to attend father's day celebration in church. In the end we were like 45 minutes late for church...but I don't think I miss much. Later I received a message from the officer-in-charge stating that I am not entitled for any prize. Within a minute I received another message saying there was a mistake..I won, 15th place.

What to think??...Of course I am happy!
Generally it was fun and it is a good event to get everyone exercise at the same time....time to get sweaty girls!! See you guys next year and may more people will join the fun. I will do better next year...hopefully =)

~One Night Only...~

Hello guys!! Wow...when was the last time I scribble here??ermm...i know it was few months back.

Heys, as some of my friends may know..we just had our 43rd PBB Central Region's Anniversary Dinner. Our theme for this year was "Sizzle & Dazzle". If you were there, you might know what I mean. Our costumes were fantastic. Glittering and colourful. Can I say outrageous??!

Well, Tan Sri's Chairman visit to our region was the first time ever for me! Some asked me, "Am I excited?" Well, definely! It was like a broadway musical with choreographer from Kl who came all the way to teach us. I was involved in the Staff & Manager's Performance.

I was involved in Scene 5, Dreamgirls. My first reaction was,"What??DREAMGIRLS??...Ain't that a Diva's performance??" I can't imagine myself singing and dancing like Beyonce! Me?? I don't think so! I was really frustrated in the beginning as I couldn't get the steps right. I really thought of just giving up. I am not a professional dancer after all. My friends and my boyfriend were there to encourage me. I really thank God for all having them in my life. Or else I would not be blogging here and telling you how much I enjoyed myself! I got to know many other colleagues from different branches too.

Guess what...our guest for that night were Harith Iskandar and Douglos Lim! Man,..I love both of them! Douglos's voice was amazing!!

Dreamgirls - my costume

Me and the frontman of Cabaret

Dreamgirls with Gan, our beloved choreographer!!

Yeah..."One night only....this is not the Grammy.. this is the Central Region's Anniversary show...saluting our founder and chairman, Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow for his exceptional leadership and direction. Thank you Tan Sri Chairman. Ladies and gentlemen, let's put your hands together for the cabaret, maniacs, footloose, and fame!! And for the first time ever from Sitiawan, Dynamics from Hairspray. Last but not least, the phantom of the opera, my fair lady and the melodious............Dreamgirls!!!"

~MucH To doOO..........~

Oh God...there are many things that has to be done before April! Our chairman and founder will be coming down to Ipoh. There are performances such as dancing, singing and acting. Whew!...Sounds exciting right? Who would know that working in a bank would require such skills??

Well...of course talent is not really on my side. However, my manager asked for my help to write a poem for Tan Sri! Did I heard wrongly?? Me?? Of all people?? My writing is not good! I told myself to give it a try. Opportunities does not come twice. It took me about 2 hours and I finally managed to draft a poem of 4 stanzas. The poem was meant for kids...maybe that was why I can write =P Now I am really praying that they would approve my poem. If it is really going to be read by the kids..it is my priviledge. In fact...my first time! Kinda excited! Hehe

I then enrolled myself in Staff & Manager's Performance. Who am I kidding! Most of the time..people are forced to participate but I voluntereed? I am a very curious person who likes to try new things. Professional will be training us. This is definely something fun and new for me! Maybe I can be a dancing queen? Nah..just joking..ME?

I will be helping out in other session as well. I really want to make full use of my time and have fun with the rest of my colleagues for "Together We Are The Best".

Let us "Sizzle and Dazzle" the night off!!

Till then...sayonara!

~Hello Sabah~

Greetings to all!

I just came back from my holiday back in Sabah. They called it the Land Below The Wind. I don't really know the reason behind it..Hmm..should have do more research on it!lol

A view from the top

Anyway, this was the first time I went to the east coast of Malaysia. It was indeed an eye-opener. I knew Sabah through History back in schooling days. Therefore, there are still pirates and "orang asli" concept. Hell not! Hehe.

Sabah is much more developed now. This trip proved me wrong! Sabah was so developed. I might even say it is better than Ipoh in certain ways. There are shopping malls all around. Well, that was not my attraction there of course. Anyway, one might find some similarity with the development in KL. For eg. One Borneo was from the same developer as One Utama! No wonder the design and concept were so alike!

Talking bout food...Yummy! You should try the seafood there! I ate crab, fish and so forth! Wow...delicious! Tender, juicy and sweet! Oh.someone please wipe my saliva! Hehe. I am totally fascinated with a place called Kampung Nelayan. This place not only serves good food but good service as well. I would say an excellent service. Friendly and observant! Imagine they know exactly what you want even before you thought of asking! Wasn't that cool?! They even have cultural performances srarting from 745pm. You wouldn't want to miss it!

Best Crab I ever had

Yummy....

The best of all was the island in Sabah. I went snorkeling in Pulau Mamutik and Manukan! Wow..amazing! There were fishes swimming around you. Everything is so real. Don't forget to feed the fish there. They were real hungry! You won't regret it..trust me!

Well,.thumbs up for MAS too! At least won't starve in the plane! Hehe

That's all for now! See you guys!
